Aan Coleman, ASLA, LEED AP
President
Founding Partner
With over 27 years of Landscape Architectural experience, Ms. Coleman serves as President and co-leader of Coleman & Associates. With a continued commitment to client service, design excellence, constructability, sustainability, and financial stewardship, her focus remains upon developing a team that continues to produce award-winning and environmentally sensitive work. Her early years were spent with a design-build firm, and this invaluable experience has served as a solid foundation for a “reality based” approach to the profession. As a result, Coleman & Associates projects are designed and constructed to be affordable, construction-friendly, well detailed, and able to withstand time and trends.
Ms. Coleman is dedicated to environmentally sound design practices. This dedication and extensive experience is translated to all team members by unparalleled focus on the use of native and adapted plantings, tree and native vegetation preservation, and water conservation and rainwater collection systems. Ms. Coleman’s extensive experience with site preservation allows Coleman & Associates projects to emphasize the natural resources of each individual site, whether it be a group of heritage trees, a rock outcropping, wetlands, or a natural water feature. In addition, Ms. Coleman is LEED certified and has contributed her expertise to several successful LEED projects, many achieving multiple awards and high LEED ratings.
