Coleman & Associates has provided landscape master planning services for this multi-use urban development, located in the heart of Austin. One of the most challenging aspects of this project has been designing the project in such a way that the surrounding Community maintains its character. This challenge has given Coleman & Associates the opportunity to participate in numerous neighborhood meetings and design workshops that involved members of the Community. By getting involved with individuals from the community, Coleman & Associates, in cooperation with the Owner and Design Team, has been able to design a project that exemplifies the concept of New Urbanism. Coleman & Associates’ involvement in this project includes initial site plan participation with the Owner, Design Team, and the community; streetscape landscape design; community park and public outdoor space design; overall landscape design; and the revegetation for an on-site wet pond.
