As part of the 2018 RRISD Bond Program, the school district decided to replace and renovate playground equipment for 32 playgrounds throughout the district including equipment, ground cover and 26 shade structures. As the landscape architect on 15 of the playground renovations, Coleman & Associates developed a strategy to expedite the procurement process of the long-lead time ordering of the playscape equipment. This included the development of playscape component plans with shade structures, specifications, site specific drawings and construction observation.
