Piney Woods Residence Hall provides a living-learning environment for 7,000 students. The project features a Community Learning Center, a community building lounge/pre-function area, faculty-in-residence facilities, laundry and recreation facilities, multipurpose rooms, community kitchens, study rooms, and outdoor social and study space. Coleman & Associates’ design of the outdoor environment at the hall provided the design team with experience working on the Sam Houston State University campus and collaborating with the Texas State University system to deliver a successful living and learning environment for students.
